"Great events - so much better than normal events / races"

"Thank you for a great series. I've never done any navigation events before and they were great. The locations meant that I was able to explore areas I had never run on before"

Our timer is counting down to the next event and we are also getting everything ready to be set for the off. We hope to challenge your mind and body by give you some great running on the high moors. Think navigation / orienteering mixed with mountain craft and fun.

We run in the hills and we love navigating in beautiful countryside, enjoying the challenge of moving over open moorland. If you are like us then you will love these events.

For the beginner and the elite, our events will challenge your brain as well as your legs.

PEAK RAID Mountain Marathon Nov 4th.
There's a little over two weeks now until the next round of the 2018 Peak Raid series and our next venue is Goyt Valley. It was basking in wonderful autumn sunshine when I visited yesterday on another planning run. I found some nice control locations and some wonderful open country. It really is a very scenic area at this time of year. If you've not entered yet you still have time via Fabian4.

PEAK RAID 3 hr mountain marathon Nov 4th.
We're really pleased that the next event in this year's series will be at Goyt Valley which is a brand new venue for a Peak Raid. This is a beautiful area on the western extremes of the Peak District national park and contains extensive areas of woodland, remote valleys, reservoirs and Shining Tor 559m. White Hall OEC (@whitehallderbyshire) have kindly allowed us to use their facilities for the race HQ giving us great access to the area. If you want to take part you can enter via Fabian4

Here are a few photos from today's first round of the 2018 Peak Raid series. Well done to all who took part especially those who tackled the 6 hour course which had controls spread over a wide area. To collect them all involved approx 40km of running and a lot of climb so a big congratulations to Chris Goddard who managed the maximum 500 points and to Sue Richmond who scored a very impressive 420points. In the 3 hour event Richard Robinson was our highest scorer who also visited all the controls for the 500 points whilst Helen Barnett was the highest scoring lady with 285. ... See MoreSee Less

Results from all Peak Raid events, including previous years

This is a brilliant series of events – challenging but really enjoyable. In a time when other ‘adventure’ style events charge silly money for a similar experience, the peak raid series stands out as very well organised, friendly yet competitive but above all great value for money. Well done Dave and all helpers!”

We loved the series. Now just got to get fit for next year and work on route choice”

Cracking events. Well mapped and organised. Super friendly”

Great map by Peel Land Surveys, and a very friendly race environment. The 3-hour score format is great as it means you can go out for as long or as short as you like, and everyone can compete on the same course. Looking forward to the next one!”

“And the events were great. We both really enjoyed ourselves. Lots of variety in terrain and navigation challenges. Thanks for organising such good weather”
